NSP MOMA Scholarship 2022-23 – Minority scholarships Eligibility and Online Apply

MOMA scholarships: Moma scholarships are minority students’ scholarships started by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Under the MOMA scholarship scheme, candidates belonging to the minority communities of (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, and Zoroastrian (Parsi)) can avail of Pre-matric scholarships, Post-matric scholarships, and Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses.

MOMA Scholarships

The selected students of these national minority scholarships receive a scholarship amount of up to INR 20,000 per annum. The Government of India means to distributed 30 lakh scholarships under the pre-matric scholarship scheme, and 5 Lakh scholarships under the post-matric scholarship scheme, and 60,000 scholarships under merit-cum-means scholarship for a technical course or professional courses at the graduate or post-graduate level students.

Types of MOMA scholarships

National minority scholarships:

1. Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities:

Pre-Matric Scholarship Initiated to support minority students’ studying at the pre-matric level, the scholarship amount up to Rs.600 monthly to students of class 1 to 10th. Candidates must be eligible to apply for this pre-matric minority scholarship, students’ family annual income must not be more than Rs.1 Lakh and their previous year examination marks should not be less than 50% Percentage.

2. Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities:

In the post-matric scholarship scheme, minority community students who are studying in classes 11th to Ph.D. students can apply. and the family annual income must not be more than Rs. 2 Lakhs, and their marks in the previous year examination should not be less than 50% Percentage. The selected applicants of this scholarship scheme win a scholarship amount of Rs.10,000 per annum along with a maintenance amount of up to Rs.1200 per month.

3. Merit-cum-Means Scholarship scheme for Professional and Technical Courses CS.

Under the scheme merit-cum-means scholarship scheme is meant for candidates who are studying in professional or technical courses at the graduate or post-graduate level. A scholarship amount of up to Rs.20,000 per annual and a maintenance allowance of Rs.1,000 per month (For hostelers) Rs.500 per month (For day scholars) is given to the selected candidates. Under this merit-cum-means scholarship, the students’ family annual income must not be more than Rs. 2.5 Lakhs and their previous year’s examination marks should not be less than 50%.

Required Documents:

• Students passport photo
• The annual income certificate issued by a competent authority
• The community certificate is attested by parents or self-attested by the students in case the applicant is 18 years old.
• Self-attested certificate of previous year mark sheet
• Bank Account details and Aadhaar Card of students
• Students Residential/Domicile certificate.

Scholarships– Renewal Process:

The scholarships received to the selected candidates may be renewed in the next academic year of the course. In order to get the scholarship renewed, the students submit a previous year’s mark sheet obtained at least 50%. The national scholarship is renewed only when the candidates studying in the same course in the same school/ college.
