CSIR Innovation Award for Students (CIASC) 2022 is an initiative by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research for young innovative students of India below 18 years of age.
CSIR is a premier industrial R&D organization of India which mainly works towards building awareness, interest and motivation for scientific temperament and innovative spirit among school children.

Eligibility
- Candidate should be below 18 years of age as on 1st January 2022
- Be an Indian citizen
- Students should be enrolled in class 12th at a recognized Indian school.
Note – Proposals can be submitted by a student or a group of students. However, a single award will be given to a group of students.

- Innovation idea proposal (Hindi/English) not more than 5,000 words
- Personal details information: Separate page containing the following details:-
- Title of the innovation
- Name and date of birth of the applicant
- School address and residential address
- Current class/grade
- Telephone no. (Residence/School)
- Email address
- Authentication Letter: Signed by school principal verifying applicants enrolment at the school and approval for participation

Step 2:Send the application by hard copy through Registered Post/Courier to –

Step 3:Alternatively, the participants can submit their entries through email at –[email protected]
Note –
- Please seal and mark the envelope on the top left corner as – ‘CIASC-2022’.
- Submit the hard copy of all applications through the post with an authentication letter (with seal and date) from the School Principal on the innovation claims being made.
- A scanned copy of the authentication certificate (having seal and date) issued by the Principal/Head of the School where the student is enrolled is necessary with the proposal for the entries sent through email.
Selection Criteria
- The decision of the Award Selection Committee/CSIR will be final and binding on the applicants and no enquiries/correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
- The award would be announced on or before 26th September 2022.
